Project Status: Completed 2015
Location: Rossland, BC
Once Rossland’s largest mercantile establishment, this heritage commercial building in the heart of downtown was being underutilized and needed new life breathed into it to maintain a lively and active high street. Studio 9 Architecture + Planning was hired to redesign the interior layout for six commercial spaces and a public storage facility below. The building was built in 1905 and was originally called the Hunter Brothers Store. It later changed ownership and became Rossland Pro Hardware. Today it hosts a variety of successful local businesses including Rossland Beer Company, Revolution Cycles, and Thoughtexchange.
