Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a family-friendly national walk-a-thon that helps raise funds for charities that serve hungry, homeless and hurting people in over 100 communities across Canada. The event in Nelson is hosted by Nelson CARES Society. This year, Studio 9 became an event sponsor because we want everyone to have a warm, safe home, especially during our cold winters. On Saturday, Feb 22nd registration opens at 4pm at Central (Wildflower) School – 811 Stanley Street. There is a 2km, 5km & 10km walk about town ending at St Joseph’s School – 523 Mill Street for a warm bowl of chili. Complete with high-fives. Head to www.cnoy.org/nelson to sign up or donate… NOW.
