With a focus on high performance design and architecture that compliments its surroundings in this beautiful region of BC, this home is the result of an evolution for Studio 9 as we continue to pursue the concept of Adaptive Performance Architecture. Here we have exploited the simplicity of a modular truss roof design and exaggerated the overhangs to mitigate heavy snow fall while maximizing solar gain. This design is the result of balancing technology and nature to create a unique human ecology.
Slated for Energuide 85, the refined use of staggered framing and soy based spray foam marks this as another step in the continual path towards high performance building envelope design.
