Project Status:  Completed 2018

Location:  Silver King Campus, Nelson, BC

Studio 9 teamed with Stantec Vancouver’s architectural and electrical engineering divisions and Rocky Point Engineering for a complete redesign of Selkirk College’s North and South Trades Buildings.  Studio 9 acted as local architectural representative for lead architects Stantec, and provided support throughout all design phases as well as various Construction Administration duties.  The two buildings are part of Selkirk’s Silver King campus and offer learning spaces for welding, machining, and heavy duty mechanics programs.  The renovation included extensive redesign of of the existing electrical and mechanical systems along with new floor layouts for better work flow of their trades programs.  The carpentry workshop that was once part of the South Trades Building was moved to a new building.  Click here for more information on Selkirk’s new Carpentry Building.
